Spring Color Trends 2021

When it comes to interior design, color can make or break a space. It can have a substantial impact on the overall mood of the room, both as an individual color as well as how it interacts with the other colors in the room. With spring right around the corner, consider these new color trends that are making a statement in 2021!

Pantone’s Color of the Year

Only for the second time since the start of the tradition in 2000, Pantone has announced not one, but two colors for Color of the Year. 2021’s colors are Ultimate Gray, a color meant to reflect strength, and Illuminating (yellow), a color exuding energy and joy. The purpose behind this choice was to acknowledge the hardships experienced after a difficult year in 2020 and inspire hope for a more cheerful year to come.

Spring Colors

In the spring of 2021, we can expect to see colors such as yellows, oranges, and browns being accented by blues, greens, and pinks. While spring is often associated with light, pastel colors, this season is playing host to more rich variations of color. Some popular colors to watch out for this coming season are Marigold, Green Ash, Illuminating, Rust, Raspberry Sorbet, Cerulean, Mint, Burnt Coral, and Amethyst Orchid.

2021 Trends

Neutral tones, such as beige, ivory, gray, and shades of blue or green, are all the rage in 2021. They provide homes with a blank canvas, making it easy to change styles frequently. Rooms designed using neutral colors give the space a minimalistic feel year-round. Adding various pops of color for each season can create a sense of festivity.
